Sharing Problems

Machine 1 (Windows XP Pro) can see and share files with
machine 2 and machine 3. I can ping both machines with
ip address and computer name.

Machine 2 (Windows XP Pro Corporate) & machine 3 (Windows
2000 Pro) can see machine 1 in network places, view
workgroup computers, but when I click on machine 1 I get
the error message "network path not found" machine 1 is
not accessable. You may not have permission. I can ping
machine 1 from machine 2 & 3 but cannot ping using
computername. It acts like a name resolution issue. I
have enabled Netbios over TCP/IP and have disabled the
firewall. All three machines are members of the same
workgroup and I am not using a Domain. I have added the
user account of machine 1 on machines 2 & 3 but still
cannot access machine 1. When I go to the Event Viewer
after booting machine 1 I have the following error:

Event Type: Error

to be claimed by this machine.

All three machines are connected to an SMC 2804WBR
Barricade g24GHz 54 Mbps Wireless Cable/DSL Broadband
Router. Machine 1 is using a Cat 5 wired connection.
Machines 2 & 3 are using wireless connections.

I have read through many articles in this newsgroup and
tried everything mentioned with no success. Any help
would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Recheck the advanced TCP/IP settings. Have you perhaps entered a
WINS server although you don't have one? Check also the DNS
settings. They should be set to automatic like the IP address.
The DHCP server in the router should be activated with a proper
address range like 192.168.2.1 to 192.168.2.99.
