Sharing printer problems

Recently I started using XP, I'm trying to network to a 2K platform.
Once the person with 2K shared with my pc, and I've printed, I lose
relationship and trust with his pc. Especially after shutdown and
startup. Netbuie is installed on XP. TCP/IP address is correct, account
name in place. Just what else could be wrong?
