Sharing in Exchange 2003

R

Ryan Youle

We used to use VPOP3 where we could all see eachothers
calenders and every 10 mins each calender would send it's
net folder update to each subscriber. Although we could
never see eachothers Free/Busy times we could always
access eachothers diarys and make appointments straight
onto them.
Now we have Exchange 03 we can easily see eachothers
free/busy when you invite that person to a meeting etc,
but we desperately want the old way back. When we go File,
share, calender, it comes up with the error message of
being unable to share a mailbox item etc, please create a
private folder etc. We don't want local PST's as we use
roaming profiles.
We are using Outlook 2000.

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
PLEASE GOD HELP ME!!!!!!! This is driving me insane.
There's a beer in it for you if you manage to suss it!

have you tried sharing your calenders. you can do this by
right clicking on calendar and then selecting permission
or by going to tools then option then delegate permission.

Ryan,

If you are using Exchange then you do not need to use Net Folders. As a
matter of fact, you cannot share a Calendar folder on an Exchange server
using Net Folders. So, I recommend you use the steps in the following
article to share folders.

Hope this helps.
