My IE connect well to internet and Mail is configured to share the IE
parameters. My PC is on a personal Lan + ADSL managed by a router. On XP
every thing is fine.... but when I Launch Windows MAIL it tries to open a
modem connection (which does not exsit) and if fails. Don't know what else to
check . any idea ?

Tools | Accounts
Select each account in turn and click Properties. On the Connection tab
uncheck the box to Always use this connection.

I have the same problem. Only thing is, when I click on the connection tab
it doesn't work. The program locks up and you can wait, restart the program
or close it. Any thoughts on that?

and do what when we get there?? I don't see anything that can be changed!

In IE, Tools, Internet Options, Connections, make sure that
"Never dial a connection" is selected.
