Sharing folders

Good afternoon
I have managed to network my two PCs. I can share an internet connection
and all was going well with sharing folders. For some obscure reason, I am
having difficulty sharing folders at present. When I frst started the
sharing process, I right-clicked the folder and ticked share and allow
change. Now when I go to the My Network Places folder I cannot see the
shared folder. On the client I can sometimes see the new folder in My
Network Places folder and some folders I cannot. When I mapwork a drive I
can see the folder, but I do not want to keep doing this. Can anybody please
help.
Reagrds.

Browsing through My Network Places is notoriously unreliable.

If a shared folder doesn't appear, you can click "Add a network place"
and add it.

Instead, I recommend accessing the shared folder directly by typing
this line in the Start | Run box, substituting the name of the
computer and the shared folder:

\\computer\share

You're welcome. Just look through the messages in this news group to
see how many people have trouble with network browsing.

You can also create a desktop shortcut to a computer or a shared
folder. Right-click the desktop, click New -> Shortcut, and specify
the location of the item as "\\computer" or "\\computer\share".
