sharing files - sorry if its wrong group

Is there a way to share files (directly over the internet
using adsl not dial up) when both computers have static
(changing) ip? I would like to share files ranging in
size from 200 mb to 1024 mb (1 gb) (msn and similar will
not work ).
Your help is much appreciated.

Of course you can. Look at free domain name hosting sites
such as www.ipupdater.com or www.noip.com. They will translate
a domain name into the current IP address fully automatically.
I'm doing it for quite a few clients.

I run a private Direct Connect hub, you could do that. My hub has about 10-12 of my friends connected sharing files. I think it's a very nice solution... kinda like having a private Kazaa :
