Me and my business partner need a way of share a few files over the
internet as we live in differenat parts of the country.

If there any way we can have a remote storage space that we can FTP
into or map network drive to.

WE know we might have to pay for this, We do have lots of web space.

Simon,

Most broadband ISPs provide free online server space. There are a number of
free storage services, of varying reliability and security, that you could use
too. Google for "free online storage" for an eye opening display.

You could setup a VPN or a Secure Shell (SSH) connection between you and
share files and/or folders... Both methods are encrypted, safe and
secure...Important points, IMHO...

I use OpenVPN (free) which is one option...Set the server on one or the
others location. The opposite uses the client...

SSH (free) and either WinSCP (free) or WebDrive ($$$$)... Use a strong
password... Set the server on one or the others location. The opposite uses
the client...

Windows XP also has a built-in PPTP VPN server and client that may work for
you...

Lastly, if you or your business partner are on broadband ISP, ie. DSL or
cable, you could look into using VPN end-point type router at one end so the
remote user can access the others LAN and PC via a VPN... Lots of
manufactures build those. Examples are Linksys, Netgear, D-Link, etc...
