Sharing Excel Files

I am sharing one excel 2000 workbook with my collegues.
We are three to use it. But if more than 1 is accessing
the same worksheet, 2nd person cannot save the same.
That is we cannot update at the same time.

Can we all access and save data on shared workbook?

It would be of great help if somebody gives more
information on how to manage and handle shared workbooks?
