Sharing Directories

I have a network computer which I can see some of the shared directories of the other computer. However one directory which is the most important does not show in the network area, despite being shared. Is there are possible reason behind this

problem, I'm sure that someone can help.

What is the name of the directory that doesn't show in the network
area?

What version of Windows is the computer running? If it's Windows XP,
is it Home Edition or Professional. If it's Professional, is simple
file sharing enabled or disabled?

Include any and all other information that will help people understand
the problem.
