sharing a folder

Hi, the sharing functionality seems a lot different in xp as compared to 2k.
When i use to share a folder in xp i could give it a sharename and assign
who i want to share the folder and set permissions for both local and remote
sharing all in the one control panel. But it seems too confusing now in xp.
Cant the old interface be enabled? I dont like having to drag all the
folders i want to share into this so called "share" directory that xp sets
up.

You don't need to drag folders into "share". You can right-click and
share individual folders.

If you have XP Professional, you can disable simple file sharing and
use the same functionality as 2k. Details here:
