Is there anywhere I can get a shareware codec to play DVds using
Windows Media Player? MS suggest some purchase ones from their Help &
Support site but the only UK sterling one is by Roxio.

I have had loads of problems with Roxio software in the past that has
cost me many trips to PC World so I dont want to use Roxio at any
price.

Any suggestions?

I know you said you want to play them using WMP, but you might want to cast
your eye over VLC Media Player. It's free and handles most formats you can
throw at it, including DVDs. http://www.videolan.org/vlc/
