I'm considering sharing a workbook, but having done a little
research I'm concerned to find that users could record a new
macro and run it on the workbook. That leads me to wonder
if they would also be able to run an addin's menu routines as
well.
The sharing of the workbook should be used only to allow the
users to enter new data, or edit existing data.
In Excel 2000, and assuming two users, is there a way to do
something like this:
1) User A initiates the sharing of the workbook
2) User A's changes have priority over User B
3) User B cannot remove the share on the workbook
4) Recording and running of macros can be disabled whilst
the workbook is shared
5) The addin's menu items are disabled whilst the workbook
is shared
There are probably other issues I haven't considered.
Would be grateful for help, please.
Regards.
