Shared printer with wireless

Need some help. I want to install a cable modem then attach a linksys
wireless router. From there I want to be able to access the internet
from two laptops. My question is how do I add a printer that can be
shared by both laptops? Both laptops will be running XP.

I don't want to create a network because at anytime one laptop could be
detached. Can I attach a printer to the Linkys USB port and reach it
from both laptops? Or do I need to add a linksys wireless printer
server so both can access the printer? Or do I need to do something
else?

You dont NEED a wireless print server but you DO NEED a print server of
some type for your desired config.

As you know, you could simply attach the printer to a PC on you network
and share it.

Sounds like the best bet is a usb or parrallel print server that can be
hard wired to a port on the router. The printer server can pick up
dhcp or use an assigned IP. The router/network would need some name
resolution if you go DHCP.
