Shared Internet Connection

Host PC is a GA-M59SLI-S5 running Windows XP Pro (SP2), 4200+ (X2), 2GB Geil
RAM, 7900GS 256MB using IE6

Shared PC is a GA-8IPE1000 Pro running Windows XP Pro (SP2), Intel 2.4GHz,
1GB Geil RAM, GeCube X700 using IE7.

ISP is Optus. The host PC has dual gigabit ethernet and so the shared PC is
not going through a router. The internet was working fine and now I can not
access any webpages. I can log into MSN / Yahoo fine. I ran the Network
Diagnostics for Windows XP on the shared PC and there were no problems
found. I'm not sure what to do or what else to check to get this problem
fixed... :-(

Any help appreciated.

Thank you very much

God Bless... :)

Unfortunately, I did not have a chance to configure this option. However,
because I had a similar situation, I went searching, and what I found was
this link: http://www.practicallynetworked.com/sharing/xp_ics/index.htm.

At the bottom is a link to "Internet Connection Sharing".

(Reason I didn't get a chance to try it out - house struck by lightning and
toasted PC - but back now bigger and better... :))
