Shared folder security.

Mike

I am setting up a new shared folder which will be used by
separate departments, each department having access to
specified areas.
Each dept will have a drive mapped to the top level and
have list permissions at the top level to allow them to
traverse through to their dept folder but not create any
folders at this level.
I am looking for Microsoft recommendations for shared
folder security. I recall seeing an article which
recommended the use of creator owner but can not find it.
Any relevant links appreciated.
Thanks.

Hello Mike,
The permission all depend on what you will allow and who you will allow to
do it.
