shared folder is invisible to win9x (fine for XP)

I'm sharing my Win2000 server hard disk partition for all
the network user. Eg. e$ as companydata, f$ as userdata
and g$ as sharedata.
All the win XP and 2000 client can see the shared folder,
however win 9x client can only see some shared folder and
it was not happen randomly. Those invisible folder is
accessable thought \\server\sharedname. I've confirm all
the setting for the shared folders are same. Can anyone
help me to resolve this problem. TQ

The share name is too long. Shorten all share names that need to be visible
to Win9x - I don't remember the limit, but I'd keep it under 10 characters
and you'll be safe.

when you put a "$" at the end of a share name, it makes it an invisible,
'secret' share which is accessible only if you know the name. Drop the "$"
and the shares will be visible to everyone. (unless I misunderstand your
problem)
