how can I get a screensaver to run when no one is logged
on to our computer? All I can get is the windows xp logo
for the screen saver. Please help?

Right click the desktop then click the properties then the
screensaver tab then choose your screen saver from the
drop down list and click the settings button to configure
it to appear when and how you want. With todays
electronics and the way that they operate screen savers
are not all that important. I never use one and have had
the same monitor for two years without problems. Keep
smiling.

ok, click start/run, type "regedit" to open registry editor.
in left pane, navigate to HKEY_USERS/.DEFAULT/Control Panel/Desktop
now in right pane, locate SCRNSAVE.EXE and double-click it.
for value data, enter name of screensaver file you wish to use (in
"filename.scr" form) and click ok.
navigate out and close registry editor. that's it!

please be aware you are venturing into important stuff that can screw up
your computer if screwed with the wrong way!

I believe we will use the settings from the default user profile when no one
is logged on. Follow the steps in the following article to copy your
settings to the default user profile.
