shared borders

me being a dw person, but now looking at fp 2003, trying to decide which way to go, macromedia or microsoft, i have a few questions here and there, What are shared borders, can someone explain and maybe post an example, thx
 
Shared Border is automatic way of including content for headers, footers, navigation, etc on all
pages within a web. However since you coming from Dreamweaver, take a look at the Dynamic Web
Templates, also look at the FP Include Page component which is similar to the Shared Border
component, but offer a lot more flexibility in that you can include content anywhere on a page, as
well as use them with the Dynamic Web Templates. Basically, avoid using Shared Borders.
