shared borders width

I am new to FP and have a web site that I use shared borders. The left share
border is not wide enought, also it dbl spaces between lines.
what I have now:
new automobile
listings

1 car

2 car

3 car

What I want is:

new automobile listings
1 car
2car
3car

Can someone tell me how to widen my shared folders and go to single space
between lines?

Thanks

1. Use Shift+Enter to create single line returns and not just the Enter key.

2. Insert a table in the shared border, set to a fixed width.

The borders adjust to suit the content. What you could do is insert a wider
table, then put your menu items in it.

To bypass the "double line spacing" issue (which is the default because the
<enter> key inserts the <p> (paragraph) tag. Shift+Enter (the <Br> tag -
the "line break") is what you need for the single spacing. You can't change
the default behaviour (I don't think), and it doesn't take much effort to
press Shift and hit enter.

Remember FP is not a word processor! Don't treat it like one.
