How can I share the Windows folder in my XP Home system with my XP Pro
system in my home network? I can share the Windows folder in XP Pro, but
not XP Home.

First, make sure that File and Printer Sharing is enabled on the Home
computer's network connection. Thereafter, right-click on the folder in
question and select Properties then set it as a shared folder.

This is by design. XP Home does not permit sharing of users' home
directories (My Documents) or Program Files, but you can share folders
inside those directories. A better choice is to simply use the Shared
Documents folder. Home does not permit sharing the Windows folder, and
why would you want to? That's just asking for trouble.

Whooops .. I didn't even noticed he wanted to share "the Windows" folder! I
just thought he might have File and Print Sharing turned off. You are right
... it is better not to share the Windows system folders such as WINDOWS or
Documents and Settings. Better is to either use Shared Documents or create a
folder, set it to share, and put what one wants to share into it.
