Share one PST file (contacts & e-mail) between two computers

I hope someone might have some insight into my question.

I have two computers both running XP Pro (laptop & desktop) and they are
connected on a wireless network. I have Outlook 2002 on the desktop and on
the laptop currently I am using my webmail client because I don't know how or
what I should do about accessing my Outlook PST on the desktop. I would at
least like to be able to share the contacts and synchronize e-mail messages.

What are my options? Should I install Outlook on my laptop and open the PST
on the desktop over the network and then set it to leave messages on the
server? I have read that this is not supported. My desktop is my primary PC
but use my laptop around the house and out and about and would like to ensure
that I have the same contacts, etc. Or should I just use Outlook Express or
my webmail client and have to fuss with importing contacts or maintaining two
seperate address books.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

I'm using the same setup and trying to run Outlook from a Memory
Stick... that way I can just take the PST with me where ever I go. It's
been working ok, but today my PST file became corrupted and I'm not
sure if it's related to running it from the Memory Stick.

Anyone else?
