share no longer asks for login but denies access

Rich

I have a peer to peer network (3 PCs, 2 workgroups) Up until today I could
access the share on the PC in one workgroup by clicking on the PC in Windows
Network and logging in. For some reason now it does not request login
information but just denies me access unless I permit Everyone access.

How can I restore the login box?

Bump:

I've completely recreated the share with another folder but still no login
access box. I'd prefer NOT to have to have EVERYONE given access to this
share but rather would prefer that in order to access this share you would
need to log in. This is the way it was working up until yesterday. How can I
get that set up again?

Thanks,
Rich

Try to create same username and password on both computers. Or check this step by step troubleshooting.

troubleshooting is not accessible errorTroubleshooting "... is not accessible" error step by step. When try to access a remote computer, you may receive the following error messages: ...
