Share Calendar - New Problem!!!

Guest

As I have said in past posts...done it all - Problem is, the ONLY way I've
been able to share the sub calendar, is if I share my main calendar as well.

I only want to share the sub calendar. I've tried taking the permissions
off of my main calendar, then they can't see either one.

Also, out of curiosity... why is there a "Share my calendar" choice, when
you have to go into tools, etc. and do all this "stuff" to share. What is
the purpose of "Share my calendar" if that is not the only step??

I think you've also been told before that granting Folder Visible permission does not share the items in your Calendar folder. All it does is allow users to get to any shared folders that are subfolders of the Calendar folder. If you don't like it, move the subfolder so that it's under a different parent folder and grant Folder Visible to that folder.

Its purpose is to do exactly what is says, share your calendar. Most people have only the one default Calendar folder.

Outlook 2007, FWIW, will make this kind of sharing much easier.

I still don't get what I was doing wrong with the Folder Visible, as it
did/does show my entire main calendar and all its contents, but moving the
sub-calendar to an entirely new folder did the trick. Thanks!
