Shape sizing freezes after copy & paste

R

RosyRuby

I am using Powerpoint 2007.
When I copy and paste a shape like an oval or circle, it pastes just fine.
But when I try to resize it, it snaps back to a fixed vertical size that is
only changeble through the Size & Position dialog using the up/dn arrows.

I cannot use the shape handles and drag it with my mouse.
I can resize it horizontally, just not vertically.

What's wrong?

Hi Rosy

Sounds like the textbox part of the autoshape is set to autosize (all
autoshapes are textboxes too). To fix, right click shape -> format shape ->
textbox -> select 'do not autofit'. You may also want to then right click
again -> set as default shape.
