Shading A Line Using Accent, etc. Why Other Changes Also ?

Hello,

Using Excel 2007 and W7.

Have a simple spreadsheet where the first column is dates, and then the
next three are blood pressure readings (systolic, diastolic, and rate).

I thought it would be clearer if I shaded in the Rows that had PM readings.

So, I went to Home\Cell Styles, and selected the 20% Accent 1 for shading.

After selecting the line, it works just fine.

But, each and every time I try it, it changes my font size and font type
for the line. Seems to automatically revert to some default, or... ?
Also, if I have a cell in the line Bolded, it eliminates the Bold.

I thought All it would do is simply just shade the line; lightly in this
case.

What's going on, please ?
How to get it to just shade the line with no other changes ?

Thanks,
Bob

Sounds to me like a case where you should use Conditional Formatting.
