sfc /scannow

Hi guys, gals and the undecided,

sfc /scannow
I cant get it to work. Ive tried reg tweaks as recommended and Ive used
different drives. Ive also tried putting the I386 folder on c drive. No
matter what I do it asks for the win cd. The cd works properly in all other
aspects.
I have xp pro.

How are you trying?After putting the CD in CD ROM Drive exit autorun
then try SFC command.

Hi,
Questions.
1) Did you succeed in putting the i386 on C? (i.e. did you look for and find
it afterwards?)
2) By doing the reg tweaks, I take it you mean the SourcePath is correct?
(i.e. it now doesn't have an entry pointing to your CD-ROM drive?)
3)Did you reboot before trying to run sfc /scannow again?
