Verify these settings in the registry >>

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Setup
CDInstall 0
SourcePath C:\
ServicePackSourcePath C:\

What are the settings for the values of the keys listed below ?

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Setup

Subkeynames: CDInstall, SourcePath, ServicePackSourcePath

And before you answer that, did you reboot the machine to
test it out ?

Is the problem that you don't have the Windows CD? If not, is there an i386
folder in the Windows folder? If so, it may work to point SFC to the i386
folder.
