I'm having a problem running SFC /scannow.
I installed XP Pro with a slipstreamed SP2 CD.
I have copied the i386 folder from the slipstreamed CD to my D: (hard
drive).
When I run SFC /scannow, it tells me I have the wrong CD.
I have even tried my original XP Pro pre-sp1 CD.
I have tried starting SFC AFTER loading the slipstreamed SP2 CD.
The only way I see around the error is to cancel the files SFC
is looking for.
My registry looks like this:
CDInstall 0
ServicePackCachePath c:\windows\system32\dllcache
Service PackSourcePath D:\ (hard drive, not CD)
SourcePath D:\ (hard drive, not CD)
I have no C:\windows\ServicePackFiles folder because I installed
with the slipstreamed SP2 CD.
Any suggestions?
TIA,
Pete
