Several processes- can I delete?

I want to kill any process I clearly don't need to simplify the large
number of running processes. My desire is to kill these processes if they
are not needed in my use.

This is a home computer, I do not run a network. I do not use the default
IE, only use Firefox.

MS Webcheck Monitor- what does this do?

netDDE agent- what does this do?

This one is I believe a nasty: MM Notify Callback

Advice?

TIA

Rather than "deleting" these processes you should disable
them with msconfig.exe (http://www.svrops.com/svrops/dwnldoth.htm),
then see what happens.

Strange...Right yesterday, I wanted to do the same... To know which
processes were useless, I queried google for "mobsync.exe what is" and
I goot good results from a site

liutilities.com/products/wintaskspro/processlibrary/mobsync/

Not only mobsync.exe, they have explained the task done by a lot of
processes here...If you are not using IE, remove mobsync.exe (from some
"Run" Key in the registry).

See the processes tab of your taskmanager and query the executable
file...

Hope this helps...

First... Clean all spyware from your system...Use a firewall and a good
antivirus that also sqashes spyware... ZoneAlarm can do more than just
internet monitoring...

If needed, boot in safe mode to do the changes...Spywares may be using
their files and may not allow you to delete them.

Bharath.

Well, I learned- don't disable a process even if the name suggests not
needed.

I disabled (not deleted) some one process this AM., it caused the loss of
my DUN icon in the system tray, it's still on my desktop and works OK.
I need that icon also in the system tray.

What is the process that puts the DUN icon in the system tray? I may
have unchecked something like "web monitor" but now can't find it.

Advice?

TIA
