Setup XP Terminal Services and VPN Tunnel

I have a few remote computers that are stand alone workstations. Each has a
static IP address. I am able to configure the computer to accept remote
connections for a Terminal Services connection. My question here is if I
try to logon through TS, it logs off the current user. Is there a way to
have 2 sessions concurrently (local login on host and remote connection) on
a stand alone computer?

Secondly, I need to transfer a few files each night from these locations for
data collection. Can I VPN in through the same connection I setup for
Terminal Services or is there something else I need to do to create that
connection? Will it also logoff the local user or will that one run in the
background?

Thanks!

No, not on WinXP Pro - it's one login at a time, period. You can use
Terminal Services on W2k/2003 server for this if you need concurrent
connections.

You can VPN in if you've set it up and it won't affect the currently logged
in user at the console at all.
