i'm trying to reboot fm Windows CD,
i have moved CD up in the list, had CD in slot.
(i saw loading files & drives - along list of things.)
from the XP CD.
when prompted i hit "R"
showed didn't find any Hard Disk Drivers, & to check
disk-related hardware configuration. May involve running
a manufacturer-supplied diagnostic or setup program...
What is it now talking about??

That message is telling you that XP cannot find the hard drive to install
to.
Sounds like you have a failed hard drive or someone/something has changed
the CMOS settings so the hard drive is not being detected.
