I've tried to install Cakewalk ProAudio 9. The
installation failed. Since then, when XP boots up, it
wants to continue the Cakewalk setup process. I've looked
in the Sartup menu but nothing's in there.

What the hell is going on? Is this in the registry?

Go to Start>Run type: msconfig Select Startup and look for an entry
in there and uncheck.
