Setup.Log

What info is supposed to be in the Setup.log file that is written to a Win
2000 Emergency Recovery Diskette?

The file written seems to be a copy of the file in the WinNT\Repair
directory.

However, that file is dated 5 May 2003.
I've added significant hardware and Win 2000 updates since then, should
those be reflected in the setup.log file?

Nope, that file never changes after the initial Windows installation.
Mine is dated 3 Oct 2001.

I did not do a Win 2000 installation on 5 May 2003.
Last installation was back in January 2002.

So something does change that file.

I just looked at the file's properties.
It was created 22 Jan 2002, which is the day I created Win 2000 on the G
drive.
It was modified on 5 May 2003, which appears to be the day I installed some
Post SP3 hotfixes.
At least I think so, because I saved the following file on 5 May 2003:

810578 - INFO Availability of Windows 2000 Post-Service Pack 3 COM+ Hotfix
Rollup Package 24.htm

However, I installed SP 4 after that, I believe on 28 June 2003, but there
is no setup.log dated 28 June 2003.
So it's unclear what causes changes.
