Setup installed XP on G-drive instead of C-drive

I installed Windows XP today, with 2 DVD-players and 1 multi-card reader in
the system during setup. Somehow setup installed the OS on the G-drive
instead of the C-drive (blocked by cardreader).
Does anyone know a trick to change this back to the C-drive without
reinstalling the OS? Diskmanager won't work because it's the boot-device.
Thanks in advance.

I recently re-formatted my hard drive, XP changed the drive letters on my
hard disks. I have a small partition on one of my hard drives (39mb) that was
placed there by dell. XP changed that small partition to drive C:/ I'm having
trouble installing software and updates because everything wants to
automatically install to drive C:/. This small partition used to be hidden,
is there any way to hide it again? Can I just erase the partition without
damaging the boot sequence?
Any HelpIs Greatly Appreciated!!
Thanks For Your Time,
Brian

I've ran into this problem before and the only soloution I could find was to
re-format and re-install.

To avoid this happening again I got hold of a copy of Partition Magic
(although if memory serves, Fdisk may do the same job) so I could create an
unformatted partition on the HD before installing. I could then make sure
that "C" was where it shold be before installing.

I've removed the Dell partition prior to a fresh install of XP without
problems - I seem to remember that the Dell partition is there for
diagnostics and recovery of the Dell supplied OS. One word of warning
though, you may have trouble getting support from Dell if this partition is
removed. As an alternative, get hold of a program like Partition Magic so
you can "hide" the Dell partition so a fresh install of XP will not see it
and use the rest of the disk as "C"
