setup.exe will not run

Eversince I upgraded to win XP pro all the setup.exe will
not run. Install.exe files will run with out a hitch?
 
I am having the same problem. If you look in Task
Manager (Ctrl-Alt-Del), you will see SETUP.EXE running as
a background process.

Let me know if you figure this out, I will do the same.
