Setup Error

I am at the middle of Windows Upgrade Installation and
the following Error message displays:
Error: Installation Failed: E:\I386\asms.
Error Message: Incorrect Function.

Fatal Error:
One of the components that Windows needs to continue
setup could not be installed.

What should I do about this problem?
