I re-formated and installed win xp prof. THEN I installed SP1 Update with NO
problem. After restarting and defraging, I tried to install SP2 from
Microsoft CD and get SETUP ERROR C:\windows|$NtServicePackUninstall$\ not
enough storage for backup.
GEE there is NOTHING else on this WD120 HD. SO how does one increase this
to work?
THanks in advance,
PS NEVER had this problem before on other HD that is SLave to this HD

You do not need to install SP1 before installing SP2.
Try uninstalling SP1, then install SP2.

I am on a dialup at home and xp2 download is about 15hours! Besides I have
Microsoft CD w/xp2 update at home. I did not have problem like this before
when I updated slave HD( when it was Only HD I had)....only when I made this
HD Master and formated it, installed winxp Prof. , installed xp sp1 update,
and still get this error.

NE 1 else have this problem and is there a simple solution?

Why not pitch the cds and let windows or microsoft update install all of it
for you....

I have done this all before(Format HDof same size and brand, installed winXP
Prof., installed SP1 and later installed SP2 with none of these problems....
SOmeone told me I should use nLite to work around it...NE 1 have done this
before?
