Setup email account as resource in exchange - redirect stuffing up

Hi There,

OK - running Exchange 2003 & Outlook 2003 as the clients. What I've got
is an exchange account called "Laptop2" setup as a resource that I'm
using to test the resourcing in outlook.

What I want to happen with this particular resource account is have no
automatic response (so this has not been setup) - I want the someone to
have to accept/decline this resource so that we can track its' use.

Now, we don't want to actually have a mailbox open for this "Laptop2"
account, we want all meeting requests & emails to be automatically
redirected to another exchange account which we do have open all the
time, which is called "IT".

The redirect works perfectly, as when the resource is booked, the
meeting request gets automatically forwarded to the "IT" email address.
However, when the meeting request is 'accepted' by "IT", when I go back
to look at the meeting in the calendar where the original meeting was
scheduled, and look at the details of it, no longer is the "Laptop2"
resource on the list, but instead, it says "IT".

How can I get the redirect to work, but have it respond so that
"Laptop2" is still the attendee/resource, and not the account that
'accepted' from the redirected request?

Thanks in advance,

Michelle

Don't redirect the messages to IT. Instead, make IT the delegate for the Laptop mailbox, with all requests set to be delivered to IT only.

Hi Sue,

Thankyou so much for that - works perfectly after giving the
appropriate permissions to the IT mailbox.
Thanks heaps & heaps!

Cheers,
Michelle
