Some points to check:
1. Did you create a mirrored raid volume by going into the Raid Bios screen
during boot up?
This optional screen will only appear if Raid is enabled in the bios.
2. Is the bios set to boot off the raid disc? (The CD will need to be 1st
while installing, Raid 2nd).
3. When you ran XP Setup, it prompted to press F6 which you say you did.
Did you see the setup ask for the floppy disc, show the Intel Raid driver
listed, and press S (I think it is S) to indicate to use the driver?
It is easy to press F6 and have the chance to install the driver but then
press enter - this skips over the load of the driver. You will know if the
driver gets loaded as it will ask you the same question again so that you
can load another driver if you have one.
4. What happened then? If the driver is loaded, you should proceed to a
screen where you create the partition on the raid 1 disc and select /
indicate to use that to install onto - did you get that far?
If you proceeded all the way through setup only for it to reboot and come
back with nothing (error such as No boot Device) then I would suspect that
the boot device is not setup in the bios correctly. I do not have one of
these mobo's so can't tell you what to set - it will be in the manual.
If you got an error message instead (esp a blue screen) post back - this
likely means either the wrong driver was loaded, may be corrupt (stop
0x00000221 or 0x0000002e I think), or was not loaded at all.
