Setup disks for floppy boot install-WindowsXP

Help! My PC has totally crashed and the only way to get
it back running again is to re-install windowsXP. I can't
because the CD drive doesn't work becuase of the crash.
I've downloaded the file that creates the setup disks for
floppy boot install. I loaded the information onto 6
floppy's and when I start loading the information into my
PC, (when I get to the forth diskette), I get an error
stating DMIO_SYS file is corrupted and the install stops.
Anyone have any ideas as to what I should do? I tried
downloading the file from another source and got the same
results. Is Microsofts winxp_en_hom_bf.exe file on their
website corrupted? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Your XP CD should be bootable, and should boot regardless of the currrent
condition (or even presence) of the files on the hard disk. In the system
BIOS, set the CD to be the first boot device. On restart, you'll need to
press a key to boot from CD and the install should begin.

If you cannot do this, simply get a Win9x boot disk that includes CD
drivers. Once the system has started, go to the CD and then to the \i386
directory and run winnt.exe. Do *not* run the Setup.exe program in the
root of the CD - that's the Windows setup loader and will not work from a
DOS prompt.
