setup can not install

I wanted to install winxp pro but got
the message below:
file\i386\kdcom.dll could not be loaded.
The error code is 4.
setup cannot continue .press any key
to exist.

please what is the problem?

When do you get the message exactly? Was this a clean install or an
upgrade? OEM media or retail?
