setup as part of a domain

I have a Windows 2000 Server setup as part of a workgroup. How can I change
it so that it will be part of the domain. Every time I try to set it up as
part of a domain it tells me the network is not found. I want this server
to act as a secondary domain controller.
 
Your server has to find the domain controller of th domain
you ask it to join.
So give it the IP address of the DNS of the domain in its
TCP\IP parameters. You can also do it with WINS.

I tried setting the IP but it still won't connect.

Add it in hosts and lmhosts.
