In the old Windows 98, my documents in Word Perfect were
easy to read. On the top of the program, I could read:
"c:\my documents\transition\revolution.wpd"
In the new XP it says
"c:\Documents and Settings\my fullname\My
Documents\transition\revolutoin.wpd"
Because this is so long and takes up so much space, I
cannot even read the entire name of the document. This is
especially frustrating, because Word Perfect also informs
one at the end whether the text has been saved or not by
adding "(not changed)" at the end, but in the XP version
I cannot see this, since I cannot even see the name of my
document.
I tried to at least shorten this long line by changing my
long in name from my full name to only my first name, but
it does not matter. On top of Word Perfect, it still
lists my full name and it does the same with every other
program and on explorer.
Isn't it possible to do something about this, so that I
can eliminated "Documents and settings\full name" from
the listings? I use the computer at home, so I do not
even need the share computer functions.
Thanks!
