setting VPN server with win2k

Hello...
I am new to VPN ... so i need assistencee to set my VPN connection... can anybody help me...

at bot the sites have got DSL connection with Static IP
I want to configure a win2k system at site 1 as VPN server that is having static public IP
and other end i have a win 2k prof with static IP to be set as VPN client (PPTP) .
please help me to configure step by step..

I tried once but didnt work...

See the links below. Be sure to configure your firewall/router before your vpn server
to port forward/allow traffic for port 1723 tcp and protocol 47 GRE [sometimes called
pptp passthrough]. If possible allow that traffic from ONLY your static IP address
for the client as that will improve your security tremendously using pptp. On your
Windows 2000 client computer, configure the vpn connectoin to use pptp, and not the
default auto, under properties/networking - network type. --- Steve
