complaining that both the email servers and the newsgroups server
at bellsouth.net were unreachable. The email servers seem to be
reachable now, but there's still a problem reaching the newsgroups

Click on Newsreader Setup, then Setup Instructions for Microsoft
Internet Explorer, then follow the instructions for Outlook Explorer
but under Windows Mail instead, then follow the additional
instructions for Vista users only at the bottom, but read Windows
Mail where they say Outlook Express.
