setting up windows mail account

I have just bought a new computer with vista home. My old one had outlook
express and I had no trouble with setting up an account but with this one I
get a message that the pop3 and smtp addresses do not appear to be valid.
If I proceed any way I get a message saying protocol pop3, port110
secure(ssl): no, socket error 11001 rrror # ox800cccod. I've tried several
times and can't get set up. Any ideas.
 
That's not the complete error message. For one thing, the server name
is missing.
Right-click on your error message, copy, then paste it into a reply here.
We can't do much troubleshooting without the complete error message.

Do you pay them for your internet connection?
