setting up WIN LIVE MAIL

After leaving AOL in 1999 and getting my first cable account I lost my aol
mail account,
After moving to anouther town I lost it again so I set up a hotmail account
so I would never loose my account or name again.
Now that I (upgraded) to vista Im running into a problem when I want to sent
e-mail to a site I get a errer that states that windows vista does not
support any web bases e-mail account including hotmail. what is the best fix
for this problem short of using outlook ? I dont like it and dont want to use
it.
If I have no choice is there a way I can link my hotmail into outlook ?

Hotmail is HTTP try downloading Windows Live Mail. It is more robust. See
the below link to download it. MSFT is no longer doing any upgrades to
Windows Mail.
