Setting Up New Users...Dumb question

Okay, sorry if this is dumb, but, I was tinkering around with the settings
and decided to add a new user, that new user being myself. I've got four
other people using this computer, so as you can imagine, there's a ton of
junk on the desktop. So, my question is, can I delete programs, files, etc.,
from my account, while keeping them intact on the original identity? I tried
deleting them, or even just moving them to one big folder with no luck. I'd
appreciate help. Thanks.

Hi Maria,

Your personal files and program shortcuts are stored under your user profile
here:

C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Desktop

Those shared by everyone are here:

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Desktop

The same thing applies to the Program Menu entries. If you don't want one on
your desktop, then copy it to the other user's personal desktop folders and
remove it from the All Users folder. Same thing applies to Program Menu
entries.

You may need to set folder options/view to see hidden and system folders in
order to see all the user profile folders.
