I am trying to set up my e-mail account. I have become stuck on the e-mail
server names! where do I found out where my e-mail providers server is and
whether my e-mail provider is on a POP3,SMTP or other e-mail server

A really great source for this info is your ISP, who will even walk you
through the process..

If you want to access your Hotmail account, then you need to use the newer
Windows Live Mail program.

That depends on who your email service provider is, which may be
different from your ISP. Your ISP will not help you with non-ISP
email.

I see you posted with a Hotmail address. If that is your only email
address, you will need to upgrade to Windows Live Mail, since
Windows Mail does not accommodate free Hotmail accounts:
