setting up multiple monitors. Receiving conflicts between my PCI.

The mother board on this PC is an ASUS P2B-VE.

I believe the on board video adaptor for this PC is made from ATI
Technologies, Inc. It's telling me its the 3D Rage PRO AGP 2X

I have attempted to install a PCI video card to enable multiple monitor set
up with no avail. When installing the PCI card (a MS listed card as good for
such usage) the on board video adaptor does not work.

However, in the DEVICE MANAGER both the on board video display adaptor and
PCI card is listed. The PCI is good, but shows the on board adaptor with a "
! " next to it.

When physically removing the PCI card, the on board adaptor works fine and
the " ! " disapears.

I have attempted to change the set up within the bios to see the PCI card
and still nothing. Have disabled/enabled on board video adaptor, and still
nothing. And obviously, I have checked to see within the DISPLAY properties
if multi monitor is available and it is NOT. Please help This is driving me
nuts.

DO you possibley have another driver for the on board video device that will
allow multi display? I have searched, but can not find any thing.

I was able to find my MB at http://www.baber.com/baber/411/asus_p2b-ve.htm

The newer driver idea is from ATI site. If this would help you in any way
the link is at http://mirror.ati.com/support/infobase/4061.html

I truly appriciate your help. I would hate to have to give up my MB for
such a small problem.

Thanx again
